Reliv Provides Free Supplements to Children

Reliv foundation provides free supplements to children in Mexico

A charitable foundation operated by Reliv International Inc. has started providing free nutritional supplements to undernourished children in Mexico, the company said Monday.

R. Scott Montgomery, president of the Reliv Kalogris Foundation and senior vice president of worldwide operations for Reliv International, said in a statement that initially more than 800 children are receiving the free nutritional supplements every day at locations outside Mexico City, Monterey and Chiapas, Mexico.

Worldwide, the Reliv Foundation donates supplements to about 15,000 under-nourished children in eight countries, including Mexico, according to a release. The other countries are the United States, the Philippines, Myanmar (Burma), Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Haiti and South Africa.

The children receive daily shakes made by combining two powdered formulas, Reliv Now for Kids and Reliv Delight, with water. Reliv Now for Kids provides an optimal level of nutrients for children, and Reliv Delight contains many of the nutrients of milk, plus additional vitamins and minerals, the release said.
