CyberWize Founders Donate to Charity

Founders of CyberWize, Mark and Jeanine McCool donated $25,000 worth of natural insect repellent to a Venice-based charity known as Agape Flights, a company that transports supplies to mission groups in Haiti. A total of 700 Bug BeGone spray bottles were flown over in addition to 1,440 Bug BeGone balms. Over $6,000 was raised by Charlotte State Bank shortly after the earthquake struck Haiti on Jan. 12. The donation was made in memory of Charite Pierre-Louis who died in the earthquake. Charite was the mother of personal banker Kenol Pierre-Louis.

The Crowley Museum and Nature Center will be the home of a new Children's Discovery Path, built by The Leadership Sarasota class of 2010, having chosen the job as the group's service project. The path will equal 1 half-mile and will include five visitor stations where people can learn about various animals and insects that are native to Southwest Florida. The project is expected to be complete in April.
