Ambit Energy Surpasses 1 Million Customers in 2012

DALLAS, Jan. 23, 2013 -- Ambit Energy, a leading national retail energy provider based in Dallas, added a notable benchmark to its list of accomplishments, officially passing 1 million residential customers1 in December and adding more than 315,000 net customers in 2012 alone. This news follows two other 2012 national distinctions: Inclusion on the Inc. 500/5000 list for the third consecutive year and recognition as one of the top 20 direct selling companies in the world on the Direct Selling News Global 100 list.

In 2012, Ambit introduced service to more than 13 million new potential customers by expanding into Massachusetts, Connecticut and northern California. The company also continued to add new service areas in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Illinois.
